Live each day to the fullest–Monday Mention

Sunrise 8 a.m. Angora, MN 2008

MONDAY MENTION–I’ve been thinking quite a lot about family and friends over the years since my father, Jack Jungroth passed away in 2011 and also after receiving some of Dad’s mother’s (my paternal grandmother’s) personal effects.

I’ll be posting some more about grandma’s household and travel diaries, wedding and engagement rings, photos, marriage and teaching certificate that Mom mailed off to me after Dad passed.

Consider stopping sometime during your hectic, busy days to hug your kids, grandkids, spouses and other special people in your world and tell them what an impact they are making in your life.

Let them know how much they are cared for, loved and adored. This act of love and kindness is sure to brighten their day and yours! After all, don’t we all want to feel love and to live our lives in harmony, creating the best life possible?

Right now, let’s all remember to live each day to the fullest. And tell those that are close to us just how much we love them before it’s too late.

Here’s a great speech made on the subject of how to do just that by Jimmy Valvano, an American college basketball player, coach, broadcaster and founder of the Jimmy V Foundation.

This was the night when he was given the Arthur Ashe Courage and Humanitarian Award at the inaugural ESPYS in 1993. Enjoy!
