Just recently I discovered a very interesting and informative blog MinnesotaBrown, that deals mostly with events taking place on and the people living in northern Minnesota on the Iron Range area.
Blogger Aaron Brown is a writer and journalist who has worn many interesting hats during his relatively young career. He was a reporter and then managing editor of the Hibbing (MN) Daily Tribune and still writes a weekly column, he’s been a reporter and anchor for Wisconsin Public Radio, is currently an instructor at Hibbing Community College and in 2008, wrote his first book, “Overburden: Modern Life on the Iron Range.”
Aaron is also quite an active in cultural events taking place in Hibbing, instrumental in organizing Dylan Days, a nonprofit organization that honors Minnesota native Bob Dylan through arts programs and an annual weekend arts event in Hibbing every May.
I want to personally thank Aaron for all the excellent coverage on his blog that he’s offered our new art group, the Northwoods Friends of the Arts. We are presenting our first big event, the Spring Art Expo throughout the month of May in Cook, Orr and Crane Lake, Minnesota and appreciate getting the word out to the masses about it!
Thanks Aaron, from one of your very happy MinnesotaBrown blog subscribers!
