Exciting news! We launched the new WickerWoman.com site redesign and officially went “live” on Monday, February 11, 2008!
After a somewhat rocky transition from the old platform at ipower.com to the new platform on RedHotHosting.com, we launched the completely new redesign and upgrade of WickerWoman.com last week!
It’s the first time in about five years that the site’s format has undergone a change, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Now the site is much more “user-friendly” with left-side navigation, context in the center, with the helpful related resource ads, a search feature, and a donation support button on the right.
The launch was a little premature and ahead of schedule, and there are still some bugs to work out and link coding errors to fix. However, it’s essentially ready to go!
Our original 1999 information and resource site for chair caners, wicker fixers, basketmakers, and DIYers was built on HTML coding. And then in 2007, we migrated to WordPress.org with its PHP coding, and now we’ve upgraded a bit more.

Additionally, with this new alliteration, we’ve introduced a new color scheme, layout, header graphic, and logo. And many new pages of context with new how-to articles and methods of advertising on the site, new support donation buttons and a contact-us page.

We kept the ever-useful Resource Links, Cane and Basket Supplies Directory™ page and others that were so popular on the old site, like the Wicker FAQ, Seatweaving, and Wicker Repair.
We’ve redesigned the navigation links and made the whole site more “user-friendly”, too.
So please look through the navigation menu at the top of the all the pages to find:

Check us out today and see what the new site can provide for you in the way of service and information on chair caning, wicker repair, basketry and more! Enjoy!
